Homes and businesses were evacuated for several hours while police and army bomb experts made safe the property in the Hawkin Street area on Thursday.
An electric stun gun, a CS gas canister, three guns, ammunition and two grenades were found alongside ecstasy and methadone. They have all been taken away for forensic examination.
A 28-year-old man is facing 11 charges, including possession of firearms, ammunition and explosives in suspicious circumstances.
He is due to appear at a special sitting of Bishop Street Courthouse on Saturday
A four figure sum of cash was also seized at a property in the Queen's Court area of the city. A 35-year-old man arrested at that location was released on bail pending further inquires.
