Ecstasy and methadrone with a potential street value of £20,000 were found when the PSNI raided the property at Hawkin Street on Thursday, 20 December.
Two Yugoslavian military origin high explosive hand grenades, a machine gun and two handguns were seized along with a quantity of ammunition at the scene, sparking a security alert which lasted several hours.
The man was detained in the Cityside area on Tuesday by detectives from Organised Crime Branch and taken to Strand Road police station for questioning.
He was charged later that day with possession of class A and class B drugs and with intent to supply them last December.
He was further charged with two counts of assaulting police, obstructing police and possession of a class A drug.
He will appear at Londonderry Magistrates' Court on Wednesday, 20 November.
Two men have already appeared before court in relation to the house search.
