Man charged over Ardoyne riots

A man has been charged with hijacking and riotous assembly after disorder in north Belfast last month.

Violence broke out in the Ardoyne after an Orange Order parade past the shop fronts on the Twelfth of July.

The 22-year-old, who was arrested on Thursday, is also facing a charge of attempted grievous bodily harm with intent.

He is expected to appear at Belfast Magistrates' Court on Friday.
