Man charged over 2001 pensioner murder

A 49-year-old man has been charged with perverting the course of justice in connection with the murder of Norman Moffatt 11 years ago.

The man was arrested by detectives from Serious Crime Branch on Tuesday in the Coleraine area.
He is due to appear before Ballymena Magistrates' Court on Thursday.
Earlier this year, a 42-year-old man was charged with Mr Moffatt's murder.
The 72-year-old from Coleraine, was stabbed as he returned home after buying his morning paper in January 2001. He died two months later.
