The man is accused of riotous assembly, obstructing traffic in a public place and two counts of possession of an offensive weapon in a public place.

He is expected to appear before Belfast Magistrates' Court on Thursday 18 April.

The charges relate to trouble that broke out in the east of the city in December 2012.

Approximately 220 people have now been arrested by the Operation Dulcet taskforce, which was set up in response to weeks of unrest associated with flag protests across Northern Ireland.

i do not agree with violence but what i do agree with is equal policing out of those 220 people who have been arrested not a single one of them has been nationalist/republican and they have be involved in trouble aswell shouldnt matter what religion you are if u are involved in violence then u should be punished i call on matt baggot to explain why we are seeing political policing against the PUL community

When are they going to persue Short Strand rioters?? There are plently of photos and vidoes clearly showing the rioters. A lot clearer than the fuzzy photos released to the media of the loyalist protesters.
