Man charged after west Belfast searches

A man arrested during police searches of the Lower Falls area of west Belfast has been charged with drug offences.

The 33-year-old was detained by the PSNI on Friday as part of Operation Echinus which was launched earlier in the week to target crime and anti-social behaviour in the area.
He has been charged with possession of a class B controlled drug and possession of a class B controlled drug with intent to supply.
He is due to appear at Belfast Magistrates' Court on Thursday, 13 December.
