A man is to appear in court on drugs charges following the discovery of a cannabis factory worth an estimated £12,000 in Moy, Co Tyrone
A 25-year-old man was due to appear in court on charges relating to the discovery of a cannabis factory in Co Tyrone.

He has been charged with cultivating cannabis, possession of class B drugs and intention to sell class B drugs.

It follows a police raid of a house on the Armagh Road in Moy on Monday, in which an estimated £12,000 of the illegal drug was seized.

The accused was expected to appear before Armagh Magistrates Court on Tuesday. The charges are to be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.

Illegal drugs do not exist! What is illegal are human activities pertaining to them. It is vital that we understand that even the law does not suggest that drugs are legal or illegal - they are controlled. The word 'controlled' does not equate to prohibtion, but rather implies what we want, regulation proportionately imposed to achieve the amelioration of social harmfulness caused by the misuse of drugs. This can only be done if we recognise that peaceful use of controlled drugs is possible and indeed commonplace. End the war on some people who use some drugs!
