Man bailed over east Belfast shooting

A 28-year-old man arrested in connection with the shooting of a woman in east Belfast has been released on police bail pending further enquiries.

Jemma McGrath was shot up to five times at Lord Street Mews on Wednesday 25 September, in an attack which was blamed on the UVF.
The 24-year-old is still recovering in hospital from her injuries.
Police made the arrest following the search of a property in the Ballymacarrett area during which a number of items were seized.
The detained man was released on Thursday evening.
