A man has been attacked during an attempted robbery in north Belfast.

The victim was in a car in the Alliance Avenue area at around 5pm on Tuesday when he was approached by two men.

The pair assaulted him and made off towards Berwick Road.

The attackers are said to be in their early to mid 20s, of medium build and height. Both were wearing dark-coloured hooded tops and one of the men was also wearing a dark blue and white jacket.
