Man attacked by gang in Derry

A man has received serious head and facial injuries after he was attacked by a masked gang at a house in Londonderry.

Shortly after 2am on Saturday, three masked men entered the property on Ebrington Street and assaulted the man with hammers and bats.
He was treated in hospital for the injuries which are not thought to be life threatening.
Two men aged 26 and 41 years old were arrested following the incident and are helping police with their enquiries.
