Man charged over protest offences

A 48-year-old man has been charged by detectives investigating disorder linked to ongoing flag protests.

The man was detained by officers as part of Operation Dulcet, which is investigating incidents linked to protests across Northern Ireland.

He has been charged with three counts of no insurance and three counts of obstructing the road on 5, 12 and 19 January.

A car has also been seized by police.

He will appear at Belfast Magistrates' Court on 22 February.

70 officers investigating people blocking roads. I'm sure David Blacks family and the police officers that have been subjected to murder bids lately will be wondering why man power is being wasted that could be used to find these republican murder gangs.
