A car being driving erratically and on the wrong side of the road was spotted in Donegall Place at around 8am on Tuesday.

Police tried to stop the car on Royal Avenue but when the driver carried on, a pursuit ensued.

A PSNI spokesperson said "suitably trained police drivers" drove after the car.

The vehicle was stopped on the Ormeau Road and officers arrested the man.

Highly trained Police drivers fairly gave me a laugh this morning chasing this guy it was more like Key stone cops as one officer deployed the stinger at the junction of the Glen Road and Knock road beside the Braniel estate and the guy just drove around it, then the pursuing cars had to stop and wait til the officer lifted the stinger to let them carry on all while the guy made gestures to the police as he past lol
