Man arrested after city stand-off

A man has been arrested after a stand-off in north Belfast
A man has been arrested in north Belfast after barricading himself in his home during a four-hour stand-off with police.

The 43-year-old emerged from his third floor flat on the Cliftonville Avenue at 4.15pm after talks with police and trained negotiators.

Police were called to the area following reports of a disturbance at 12.30pm. A number ofneighbouring flats were evacuated.

The man was uninjured when he left the premises.
