Man and woman on £50k drugs charges

A man and woman are due to appear in court after police seized a suspected quantity of ecstasy with a street value of around £50k in Co Down.

Officers from the PSNI's organised crime branch made the seizure after stopping two vehicles on Main Street in Waringstown on Friday.

A 32-year-old man and a 30-year-old woman have been charged with possession and possession with intent to supply class A drugs.

They are both due to appear in front of magistrates at Lisburn courthouse on Monday.

All charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.
