Man, 63, killed in Co Tyrone crash

A 63-year-old man has died after he was hit by a car in Co Tyrone.

The incident happened on the Monaghan Road in the Aughnacloy area, at around 10.30am on Thursday.

It is understood the incident involved a dark-coloured Audi A4 car and a pedestrian.

A 51-year-old man has been arrested in relation to the incident. He was later released on bail pending further police enquiries.

The Monaghan Road has now re-opened after it was closed for most of the day.

The PSNI's Collision Investigation Unit is investigating and has appealed for those with information to contact police.
