A 21-year-old man has died after a car and lorry collided near Toome, Co Antrim.

The crash happened on Moneynick Road shortly after 11pm on Wednesday.

The road was closed for a time following the crash, but has since reopened.

Investigating officers also closed the M22 North/West bound and the A6 between Moneynick and Toome, causing delays to rush hour traffic.

Police have appealed for anyone who saw the crash to contact them.
