Man, 19, charged over Ardoyne disorder

A 19-year-old man is due in court on Thursday on a number of charges relating to the Twelfth of July disorder in north Belfast.

He is charged with riot, arson and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place.
Around 20 police officers were injured in clashes surrounding a contentious Orange Order parade and counter-demonstration by nationalist residents in the vicinity of the Ardoyne shopfronts.
During the disorder, petrol bombs, fireworks and other missiles were also thrown by rioters.
