Police and army bomb experts attended the scene at New Line Recycling Centre on Tandragee Road on Friday morning.

The alert at the Craigavon Borough Council's premises ended at around 1pm.

A suspicious object was examined and found to be a hoax - it has been removed for further examination.

The council said earlier the recycling centre would remain closed while the operation was ongoing.

Roads in the surrounding area were also closed but have now reopened.
