Lurgan alert 'elaborate hoax'

Two suspicious objects found in Lurgan, Co Armagh on Saturday morning have been declared elaborate hoaxes by police.

They were found in the Lake Street area of the town.
Police and army bomb experts attended the scene of the alert, which has now ended.
Train services were disrupted while the area was made safe.
A bus substitute was available in both directions between Lisburn and Portadown for NIR services and between Belfast Central and Newry for Dublin Enterprise services.
Normal service has resumed.
Police are appealing for information from anyone who may have witnessed suspicious activity in the Lurgan area to contact them.
