The highest responding constituency is North Antrim with 63.9% registered so far, while Belfast South has a response rate of just 45.7%.
The Electoral Office for Northern Ireland said approximately 56% of the eligible electorate in the region have returned their electoral register forms so far, representing almost 800,000 people.
The second phase of the canvass began on Saturday when return visits were made to all non-respondent households.
Chief Electoral Officer Graham Shields urged anyone who is yet to respond to return their canvass form.
"It is encouraging to note that so many people have already returned their forms and are now on the register in good time for next year's elections," he said.
"However, there are a large number who have still to respond. If you have not yet completed your form I would urge you to do so now and return it to us without delay."
The European elections take place in 2014.
