Specialist police teams had been searching for Ms Greer since she was reported missing last Wednesday.

The 46-year-old was last seen close to a Sainsburys store in the Larne Link Road area of Ballymena, Co Antrim, at 5.00pm on Wednesday.

A PSNI spokesperson said: "Police would like to thank the public for their help and support in the search for Elizabeth, particularly in sharing social media appeals for information.

"The officers who have been with Elizabeth's family over the last few difficult days would also like to express their condolences."
