The five star venue opened in 2007 and the 600 acre peninsula between Hume Lough and Lower Lough Erne features the first golf course designed by Nick Faldo in Ireland.

But KPMG had been unable to put the Enniskillen resort on the market until full ownership was established - a process that took 12 months.

Administrators say they are hopeful that the Lough Erne Hotel and Golf Resort will be sold as a going concern.

It is understood a number of international buyers have registered interest in purchasing the resort, which has apparently been trading well since it went into administration in 2011.
