This is terrible news, another cyclist is killed on our roads. I wish his family every sympathy. Cyclists enjoy getting out on the road and unfortunately in my experience, and every other cyclist you talk to, drivers pass too close. There's not a day goes bye without a motorist brushing past within inches - this is illegal.

It's very sad a man has lost his life, I drive a lot for work and use the Old Ballynahinch road a lot. It's not a road for cyclists. Northern Ireland has the worst roads in Western Europe and its about time things are done about the condition of the roads. The government get enough off us in tax to pay for five times the roads we have. For cyclists I feel they should be banned from certain roads and maybe given more cycle lanes in appropriate places. My sympathy to the mans family.

My heart goes out to thus mans family. We urgently need investment in proper cycle lanes across the north, to encourage more people out if their cars and on to their bikes, and make the roads a much safer place for cyclists.
