Darlene Bell, 15, was found at Glenford Park in the Co Down town last June.
She died from butane poisoning, just minutes after leaving a nearby care home where she had been staying.
On Monday, the coroner Joanne Donnelly adjourned the findings she was due to deliver.
She said that having reviewed the evidence, there was a still a number of matters outstanding.
She revealed that Mr Roger Bailey, the Consultant Psychologist involved in the care of Darlene, had telephoned her to say he wished to add to his evidence.
He has submitted a further two and a half page report.
The coroner said Mr Bailey would have to be recalled and questioned further.
She is also seeking clarification as to precisely what level of investigation has taken place by the bodies charged with Darlene's care, in particular the Belfast Trust, the South Eastern Trust and the Health and Social Care Board.
Ms Donnelly said she would be very surprised if a case management review or serious adverse incident report had not been carried out to determine if lessons could be learnt from Darlene's death.
No date has been set to recall the inquest but a lawyer representing the Belfast and South Eastern Trust said he hoped he could get the required information within seven days.
