A number of people have been assaulted during a street fight involving up to 100 people in West Belfast.

Police received a report of a large number of people involved in disorder outside a bar in the Monagh Road area at 2am on Monday.

It is believed between 50 and 100 people were involved in the incident.

A number of people were injured, some of whom required hospital treatment including one female who was taken to hospital with a broken ankle.

Police are investigating and would appeal to anyone with information to contact them at Woodbourne Station on 0845 600 8000.
