Houses damaged in Portadown arson

Three houses have been damaged in an arson attack in the Garvaghy Road area of Portadown, Co Armagh.

It was reported shortly after 3am on Sunday that a vacant house in the area was on fire.

Police and fire crews attended and extinguished the blaze but the empty property was gutted.

Two adjoining properties, which were occupied, were also damaged but no one was injured.

Police are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident or anyone with any information to contact them at Lurgan Police Station or anonymously through Crimestoppers.
