Horses 'running free' during crash

A man is seriously ill after his motorcycle crashed in Newtownabbey, amid reports of horses on the road.

The 29-year-old was injured in the Ballyclare Road area shortly before 7am on Tuesday.

A PSNI spokesman said: "Reports were received around this time also of horses running free in the area."

He remains in a serious condition in hospital. Police have asked anyone who saw the crash to contact them.
