'Nothing untoward' at west Belfast alert

Police have confirmed that "nothing untoward" was found during an alert in west Belfast.

Police carried out a security operation in Lenadoon Avenue on Monday evening.

Lenadoon Avenue and Shaws Road have now reopened.

Residents from a number of nearby homes which were evacuated have been allowed to return.
