The PSNI were called to the Ravenhill Road, close to the Short Strand, on Wednesday evening at around 9.10pm.

Army bomb experts attended and a controlled explosion was carried out, police said.

The suspicious object was declared a hoax a short time later and the area was reopened to traffic.
