A suspicious object was discovered at the Junction One Retail Centre on Ballymena Road at around 12.30pm on Tuesday.

Army bomb experts were tasked to the scene, while a number of shops were evacuated for a time.

"The object was declared a hoax," a PSNI spokeswoman said.

Detectives in Antrim are appealing for information after the incident.

Police have asked anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area at the time of the incident to contact them.
