A man jumped out of a silver people carrier and pointed a knife at the driver of a black VW Golf at around 7.30pm before stealing the vehicle and driving off.

Three men are now assisting the PSNI with their inquiries.

The police said: "Detectives would ask anyone who may have witnessed this incident or who has information to contact them at Newtownabbey on the new non-emergency number 101."
