Guns found in Strabane dissident search

A number of weapons have been found in Strabane, Co Tyrone, by police investigating dissident republican activity.

Officers discovered two suspected handguns and a number of suspected petrol bombs in the town during a series of searches on Sunday afternoon.

The operation is being carried out by the PSNI's Serious Crime Branch targeting dissidents.

A police spokesperson said the searches are ongoing.

Good. 2 less guns on the streets. Scum like this should get 10 years for possession of a firearm. Anyone found with a gun. 5 years for carrying a knife on the street. Well done PSNI.
