The thief entered a shop in the York Street area at around 10am on Friday and stole a sum of money.
He made his getaway in a silver Fiat.
Police think the car is the same one which was hijacked on the Newtownards Road last Saturday, when a female driver was forced out at knifepoint.
The vehicle was later recovered in Thorndale Avenue.
Meanwhile police said no-one is believed to have been injured in the robbery.
Anyone who witnessed it has been asked to come forward.
