Girl, 10, seriously ill after sea fall

A 10-year-old girl is seriously ill in hospital after falling into the sea at Portballintrae.

The girl's father jumped into the water to save her after she fell in shortly after 2pm on Sunday.
Ambulance crews began CPR as soon as she was recovered from the water and an Ambulance Service spokesman said the girl was taken to the Causeway Hospital in Coleraine for further treatment.
The coastguard and lifeboats were also involved in the recovery.
A police spokesperson said her condition is understood to be life-threatening.
