A 50 metre exclusion zone was put in place at a primary school in Glengormley while fire crews dealt with a gas leak there.

The incident happened at Ashgrove Primary on the Ashgrove Road on Tuesday afternoon.

Three fire engines attended after an emergency call was made at 1.55pm.

The exclusion zone was erected as a precautionary measure and Phoenix gas isolated the gas supply. Fire crews left the scene at 2.30pm.

Police said there were no reports of anyone being taken to hospital during the incident and the school has been reopened.

I read this article initially thinking the gas leak was in Glengormley Primary School, however it was in a primary school in Glengormley! Not a very accurately worded headline.
