The seven lightning preventers contained in a red metal box were stolen from premises in the Balheary Road area of Swords over the weekend of 27-29 September.
As the items have not yet been recovered, gardaí are urging anyone who comes across them not to get too close or touch the material.
They should instead contact any Garda station or the Radiological Protection Institute of Ireland.
They contain radioactive sources which are dangerous if handled. You need to stay well away from these things - do not handle them.
David Dawson, RPII
Experts have already warned that the radioactive material could contaminate anyone who comes in contact with it, posing a long-term risk of cancer.
"They just look like scrap metal and I'd say that's why they were stolen," David Dawson from the RPII said.
While the lightning preventers look like aluminium or stainless steel, they have no scrap value.
