Mr Reynolds was travelling to work as a subcontractor painter at Shorts aircraft factory in October, 1993 when his van was ambushed by gunmen.
They opened fire, killing the 40-year-old from west Belfast before fleeing the scene.
Mr Reynolds was pronounced dead after workmates managed to get the van to the Shorts factory, while three others were injured.
The police investigation into the attack was reopened last week.
Detectives from Serious Crime Branch arrested a 41-year-old man on Thursday and took him to Antrim Serious Crime Suite for questioning. He was released later that day.
Two other men have been arrested and released since the inquiry was renewed.
