It happened on Culbane Road on Friday at about 2.25am.

The outside porch of the property was set alight by the device.

Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

Magherafelt SDLP Councillor Martin Kearney has condemned the attack.

“There is no place for this type of reckless activity in society. No one has the right or the mandate to take the law into their own hands,” he said.

“I am appealing to anyone who knows anything about the attack to contact police.”
