Four people have been charged with disorderly behaviour in Belfast on the Twelfth.

A 27-year-old man was arrested following an incident in the Sandy Row area.

He is expected to appear before Belfast Magistrates Court on Monday to face charges of disorderly behaviour, resisting arrest and two counts of assault on police.

Police arrested a further three men following reports of disorder in the Botanic Avenue, Great Victoria Street and Donegall Pass areas of the city on Saturday.

The trio, aged 33, 28 and 20 years old, are charged with disorderly behaviour and are due to appear at Belfast Magistrates Court on 8 August.

All the charges are subject to review by the Public Prosecution Service.

Meanwhile another 20-year-old man who was arrested on suspicion of assault on police and disorderly behaviour at the Botanic Avenue has been released pending a report to the PPS.
