Four charged with Coleraine disorder

Two men and two women have been charged in connection with public disorder in Coleraine, Co Londonderry.

A 27-year-old woman is accused of a number of offences including assaulting police, resisting arrest and disorderly behaviour.

She will appear at Coleraine Magistrates' Court on Wednesday 6 August.

A 26-year-old woman and two men, aged 36 and 47, are also due to appear at Coleraine Magistrates' Court on Monday 28 July charged with disorderly behaviour.

Their alleged offences relate to public disorder that broke out at Pates Lane in Coleraine on Tuesday while a parade was taking place.

Two 17-year-old boys and two men, aged 19 and 18, who were also detained in connection with an assault in Winston Way later that night, have been bailed pending further police enquiries.
