A factory in north Belfast has been targeted in an arson attack.

The emergency services were called to the business premises on Shore Road at 6.40am on Saturday.

PSNI Inspector Paul Noble said: "Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service attended the scene and the fire was extinguished.

"No one is believed to have been in the premises at the time of the incident."

He continued: "Enquiries are continuing but at this stage, police believe the fire was started deliberately.

Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them on the 101 non-emergency number.
