Some residents have had to leave their homes in west Belfast as emergency services attended a security alert on Saturday night.
Army technical officers were called to examine a suspicious object that was discovered on the windowsill of a house at St James' Crescent just after 7.15pm.
Police have confirmed that 30 homes were evacuated.
A number of roads in the area were also closed.
The object was declared a hoax on Sunday morning.
It is understood the family living at the property had been receiving threats and have been targeted before.
Sinn Fein councillor Briege Brownley said: "People are very angry with the people who have carried this out. We don't know who that is but there are suspicions in the area.
"There's pure anger that anyone can do this at a young woman's door.
"This is not the first incident, this is an ongoing vendetta for whatever reason and I'm calling on people to stop it. People in St James don't want it."
