According to the Impartial Reporter, the five-star Lough Erne Golf Resort could be the venue for what will be the 39th summit in June 2013.
It would be the first time G8 leaders have met in the UK since then Prime Minister Tony Blair hosted the event in 2005 at another golf resort, Gleneagles in Scotland.
UTV spoke to a number of hotels in Enniskillen who confirmed that block bookings have been made for around the time the summit will be held, but they would not be drawn on the reasons.
Downing Street refused to comment on the report when asked by UTV - other than to say they are exploring a number of options.
Enniskillen was not confirmed as one of those options.
Last year, US President Barack Obama hosted the G8 Summit at Camp David in Catoctin Mountain Park, Maryland.
