Elderly woman dies in Co Tyrone crash

An 84-year-old woman who died following a two-vehicle road crash in Sixmilecross, Co Tyrone, has been named.

Bridget Mullin from the Sixmilecross area died in hospital shortly after the collision on the Cloghfin Road at around 6pm on Tuesday.

A silver-coloured Volkswagen Jetta and a grey Seat Leon were involved in the incident at the junction of Whitebridge Road.

Ms Mullin was a passenger in one of the vehicles.

The road remains closed and police have asked anyone who witnessed the collision to contact them in Omagh on the non-emergency number 101.
