The man was driving a blue-coloured Volkswagen Passat along the Oldpark Road on Thursday at around 10am when his vehicle was struck from behind and forced off the road by a black-coloured Subaru Imprezza.

The driver saw two masked men in the vehicle - one of whom had a suspected handgun.

The Subaru car made off from the scene and was discovered by police a short time later on the Beanstown Road.

Police have appealed to anyone who witnessed the incident or anyone with any information to contact CID in Lisburn Police Station on the non-emergency number 101 or anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
