A Limavady man, who was last seen heading out to walk the family dog, has now been missing for a month - despite extensive efforts to find him.

James Frew left his home shortly before 2pm on Saturday December 10 but, while the 63-year-old's dog was found tied to a post, its owner hasn't been seen since.

The pet was left at O'Cahan's Rock, beside the River Roe in Roe Valley Country Park. Both the river and park have been searched by police and other agencies.

"We particularly want to hear from anyone who would have seen James during the early hours of December 10, right up until he was reported missing," a PSNI spokeswoman said, renewing the appeal for information.

"His family are understandably very anxious to hear of any news regarding his whereabouts."

Mr Frew is described as being 5ft 7ins tall and was wearing a brown coat, jeans and black boots when he left his house, He was also carrying a walking stick.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 0845 600 8000.
