Dr Eireann Kerr, 30, from Marlborough Park South in Belfast appeared in court on 8 January charged with assaulting a male and female constable at Strand Road police station on 13 December.

She is further charged with resisting one of the officers, also at Strand Road, disorderly behaviour and possessing an offensive weapon, namely an Apple iPhone.

She is currently on police bail.

The case was mentioned at the Magistrates' Court in Derry on Thursday by defence solicitor Derwin Harvey.

He asked for the case to be "adjourned until 6 February for attitude".

The application was granted.
