Last week, Caroline's mother spoke out about the "living hell" she had endured in not knowing what happened to her daughter after she went missing 25 years ago.

Caroline, 19 and originally from Newry, had been living with her boyfriend in Portadown's Hanover Street when she disappeared in April 1989.

She had gone to the Coach nightclub the night before she went missing and stayed part of the night with a friend in a hostel in the Co Armagh town.

Over the past two years, police have stepped up their investigation and conducted searches and arrests. Last week, they also renewed their appeals for information.

Having since received a phone call from a man who did not leave his name, detectives from Serious Crime Branch want him to call them back.

"Police believe he may have important information," a PSNI spokesman said.

"He is asked to phone detectives on 02890 700 727 or 07585 22 82 83. Any information will be treated in the strictest confidence."
