The six bedroom, six bathroom property is located in Kincasslagh, the village made famous by the star.
It may be the home he grew up in, but Daniel now lives close by with his wife Majella.
His sister Kathleen and her husband John now own the property, and their children have grown up and flown the nest.
The couple live there with Daniel and Kathleen's mother Julia - but are keen to downsize.
The detached dormer bungalow is described as being "extremely well presented and immaculately maintained."
It has a self contained one bedroom annex with its own separate and private entrance, living area and conservatory and is only 500 yards from the nearest beach.
Estate agent Gavin Boyle said the interest generated by the house going on the market has been quite phenomenal.
"It's location alone is absolutely breathtaking. You are on the shores there of the Atlantic Ocean, facing westwards," he said.
"It's a really beautiful house."
He said many people would be familiar with the house from attending the tea parties hosted by Daniel and his family.
