DUP's Nigel Dodds is to stand down, the party has announced
DUP North Belfast MP Nigel Dodds is to step down from his role in the Stormont Assembly in the coming days, the party has officially announced.

The move, which is to take place "imminently", is part of the DUP's policy of phasing out double-jobbing.

The party has said it is in the process of selecting a replacement for Mr Dodds ahead of next year's Assembly elections.

A new candidate is to be announced within the next few days.

CYNICAL - Nigel has served us all well over the years and I'm led to believe an MP doesn't receive an MLA wage - so I doubt its about the money.
